Hebrews 8 & 9

Hebrews 8 & 9

Jesus paid it all

All to him I owe

Sin had left a crimson stain

He washed it white as snow

The words of this hymn come to mind when I read Hebrews 8 & 9 this morning. Jesus paid the debt I owed. He paid it with his blood.

“In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” – ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I am so grateful for the sacrifice He made. I pray that my life would be one that would be spent living as an offering to him in response to all he’s done for me. Not that I could earn my salvation – that was settled on the cross. But that I would worship Him with my life and live in such a way that I would reflect him so that others might believe. He’s coming again and I want everyone to know the Good News of Jesus.

“Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.” – Hebrews‬ ‭9:27-28‬
