Students, be sure to pick up a copy of the new mside youth brochure in the youth room this week.  You can also download it here: Fall 2011 Brochure.  We’ve got some great stuff coming up that you won’t want to miss.  From classic “lock-ins” to packing shoe boxes for Samaritan’s Purse, we’re going to have an awesome Fall.  I look forward to seeing you this Wednesday night for our first Ignite of the school year!

This weekend we took a group of the mside youth up to Awanita Valley for a back-to-school retreat. Check out this video for a glimpse at the highlights of our weekend.  This trip was a great way to transition from a summer filled with ministry to a school year filled with students reaching their campuses for Christ.  Our students are charged up and ready to go back into the mission fields of their schools.   Pray for them as they head back to classes next week.  Pray that they would be bold witnesses (in word and deed) of what Christ has done in their lives.  I shared this passage of scripture with the students on Friday night.  “In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Phil 1:4-6)  May we all complete the task that God has given us.  Go & Tell.
