Today as we leave our mission trip in Lake City, my prayer for these students (and all Crash Students) is much like the prayer Paul wrote to the Church at Colossae here in chapter 1.
“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,”
– Colossians 1:9-10
Also, check out the intro to Colossians video linked below. It was created by the folks at The Bible Project.
As we finish up our houses here in Lake City, we are also reading Philippians 3 and 4 today. This week has been wonderful for our students and adult leaders. We have seen the Lord meet our needs at every turn. He provided energy, shade, supplies, great helpers, food, fun and He even held off the rain. God has been (and always is) faithful. I echo the words of Paul when he says, “…my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

Today we begin Philippians. It’s also our third day in Lake City. We’re over half way done with what the Lord sent us here to do. In the home stretch of our mission trip it’s great to read Paul’s words in The first chapter. I’m very grateful for the partnership we have with Lake City First Baptist and Home Works. This partnership has helped many people in the name of Jesus. It’s helped the home owners as well as every teenagers and adult on our teams.
“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:3-6
