Be Baptized

Tonight we had a great opportunity to see two of our students, Cam Connelly and Case Zornes, be baptized. Baptism is an amazing picture of the outward expression of the inward commitment that a person makes when they ask Christ to come into their life. It is also a great symbol of the death and rebirth of a person spiritually. I was honored to be at your baptism guys and I am also honored to be able to help you grow in your walk with the Lord as your Youth Pastor. Here are a few great photos from tonight’s service.

Big Tent Revival

This past weekend was a great retreat. We had over 45 students and adults camp out at Optimist Acres in Spartanburg. Some slept in tents for the first time and others were seasond veterans. A few even learned the importance of closing tent doors and windows when it rains (ha ha). I hope you had a fun experience – but more than anything – I hope that God continues to remind you to warm yourself by the fire of his love. Don’t find yourself by the camp fire of the evil one. God desires for you to live a life of purpose and a life that is focused on Him. Don’t live double lives. Don’t give into the temptation of warming yourself by another camp fire like Peter did before he denied his Savior. It truly was a Big TENT Revival!

Fall Fun

Fall is in full swing and the boys are loving it. The leaves are coming down like crazy and it’s no use trying to rake them up until they all fall. Anderson loves throwing the leaves and Ellis loves eating them. Here are some pics of Anderson and Ellis on our youth camp out at Optimist Acres here in Spartanburg this weekend. I will blog more about the retreat tomorrow. Thought everyone would enjoy seeing the guys (our little campers).
