It’s about 3:30pm on Wednesday at Centrifuge (at Ridgecrest). It’s been a long but wonderful day since my last blog. So far everything is going pretty well. I was really tired earlier today and just thought it was because I was getting old. Getting up Rec. Hill at 32 is harder that getting up Rec. Hill at 27. But then I realized that I hadn’t had any caffeine in over two days. It’s the drug of choice for this Baptist minister. I felt like an addict looking for a fix as I tracked down the closest soda machine this morning. Finally, at lunch I had a Diet Pepsi (though Diet Coke is much better) and everything with the world was right again.
This week’s lessons are excellent. Today we studied the parables of the mustard seed, the yeast, the priceless treasure, and the pearl from Matthew 13. The Kingdom of God is such an amazing thing. And how great is it that God allows us to join Him in what he’s doing. Tonight will be another great evening of worship – so be in prayer for the students that their hearts would be open to God’s Word.
I’ll blog again soon and hopefully attach a few pictures next time.
Now you know how I felt at age 44 going up rec hill!!! I needed more than a diet coke!!!
Hey Nathan!! Hello to all Morningsiders as well! I hope you are having a great week and that God is really opening the hearts of our youth. I am so jealous that I am not there this year! I hope everyone is behaving themselves and left their CELL PHONES at home…yeah, right!! 🙂 Know that I am praying for you all and especially my prayer partner, Taylor. Miss you guys and I can’t wait to hear all about it. Tell Ruth to host a junk food party in my honor!!!
