Today’s been great! We’ve got 41 students and chaperons here at Edisto for our first day of Spring Retreat. It’s been raining all day, but the weather hasn’t dampened our spirits. The trip down was uneventful, the burger’s were delicious and the opening service was great. BJ Thornton tried his hand at playing djembe and Martha lee even helped lead the singing. Imagine that. It’s awesome to see the Lord growing these teenagers. We’re winding down for the night after a guitar praise (Jesus rock-band style competition) and ready to sleep after a long day. Tomorrow is day two and were heading to Charleston for two worship services. Keep praying for us and checking the blog. We’ll update the blog again tomorrow night.
Glad you had a safe trip down and hope the rain has stopped!!! It finally has here in Sunny – but windy – Spartanburg!
I’m bummed….I must have done the comment page wrong because mine never got posted….oh, well, rats. What I had said is that I hoped you were having good weather there….and that you were being prayed for….you still are….and I hope the weather is still good….so is this post really out-of-date? I guess not! Giggle!!
