The End of a Summer

Summer 2015 has been my 14th summer in full-time student ministry.  This summer was also my third time reading the Bible cover to cover.  Honestly, there are lots of great things you can do in student ministry during the summer, but none better than being in the Word of God and pointing students to read it too!

88 days ago we started on a crazy journey.  Our goal was to not only read the entire Bible, but to blog each day about what we read.  We had nine people including myself serve as blog writers.  I began writing on that first Monday beginning in Genesis.  Blogs have been posted from computers, cell phones, out of state and even from Honduras.  Thank you so much to my main writers: Colin Raynor, Charley Goode, Ethan Pettigrew, Jessica Brown, Brad Kempson and Molly Watkins.  Thanks also to Savannah Elgin and Rachel Freeman for writing a few blogs along the way.

This has been one of the most rewarding adventures over these past fourteen years.  It has reminded me of our desperate need to daily be in The Word.  Though I’ve read it before, God was always faithful to show me something new every morning!  Jump into God’s word and watch Him transform your life too!

  1. Thank you for sharing with us, Nathan. I’ve been awed by the blogs, the insights, the experiences, and the Word.
