Young Voices Praise God

Today our preschool choir blessed us with a few songs during the 11:00am worship service.  It was awesome!  Obviously I love it when people are using their gifts to bring God glory, but it’s amazing to see our preschoolers offering praise to God.  Anderson is in this group in the middle of the third row.  John and Will Emerson, sons of Kingsley & Christy Emerson (who teacher the 7-9 Grade Guy’s Class) are singing down on the front right.  They are too cute.  Our Ignite band drummer, Rick Hennecy’s son, Carter is singing in the group too.  Maybe someday these kids will all be playing together in the youth praise band.  Whether you’re 3 or 103 – it’s always a good time to sing praises to God for who He is and what he’s doing in our lives.  We are all blessed beyond measure.

Laura Story

Friday night we hosted a 5th Quarter at Morningside to offer students a place to come and hang out after all the high school football games.  We had video games, foosball, & great food downstairs in our welcome center and then a concert upstairs in out youth area.  Laura Story and her band came and did an amazing show.  Well, when I say “amazing show” – that’s just an industry term for the concert.  In fact, it wasn’t a show at all.  It was truly a worship experience.  Laura and the band ushered 100 of our students and guests to the feet of Jesus and offered Him praise through song.  What a great way to spend a Friday night!  Thanks Laura.  It was awesome.

Lazy Saturdays

Today is a lazy day after a hectic week. We’re just hanging out with the boys and hosting one of our students from Lancaster. We snapped this picture of the boys at the mall today.
