It’s 7:40am, cloudy and cold.  Doesn’t really feel like spring break, but our retreat is going well.  Everyone is doing great and the houses we’re staying in are awesome.  We had dinner, worship, and Bible study last night at the Edisto Baptist Church.  Yesterday we actually had a few get in the ocean (I got in to my knees).  Today we’re hoping for better weather and a great day of recreation, Bible study and fun.  I hope everyone is doing great back in Spartanburg.  You’re students are just fine – just a little sleepy at this point.  Continue to pray for our students as they dive into God’s word today and learn more about the purity that God desires for them to have. 

In the morning we’re heading with about 37 or so to Edisto Beach, SC for the Morningside Youth Ministry Spring Break Retreat.  But at this point I’m thinking maybe it should be called the Winter Retreat ’08 instead.  I guess West Virginia Skiing would be good about right now with the way the temperature is outside.  But, weather.com says it’s going to get better soon.  Hopefully it will get warm enough to get in the ocean.  This week our theme is “Live Pure.”  It’s a five session True Love Waits themed Bible Study with everything culminating on the last night at a ring ceremony on the beach for the students to commit to a life of sexual purity until marriage.  Pray for our students and our chaperons.
