We had an awesome day this past Friday during Christmas break. Yea, we had to miss both Bowl games, but we had a great time. We went took 55 snow tubing and then saw The Nativity at the theater. I guess you can still call this a winter break. With highs in the mid 60’s and low 70’s it’s hard to think much of winter. However, Moonshine Mountain was great and luckily the weather was just good enough for the tubing. I hope you all had a great time. For more pics click here www.msideyouth.org and then click on photos and look under winter events 2006. Thanks for bringing your friends and helping this to be a fun time of fellowship and also a great way to reach out to other students. Enjoy your last two days of vacation. See you in church on Sunday!
This past Sunday night the youth presented their Christmas Musical, “Code Red” at Morningside. It was great! Everyone did a great job and I was very proud of all the teenagers. I can’t begin to tell you how thankful I am for all of our volunteers who helped lead youth choir. Terri, Marlene, Holly, Ann, Jack and everyone else who helped make this a success are to be commended. The last three months of hard work paid off! The musical glorified God and helped share the message of salvation. Through Jenny (a character in the musical), we learned the importance of sharing our faith with others – so that they know the Savior who has come to be “God With Us.” Have a Merry Christmas and may God bless you all.
Last week Ashley and I decided to take the boys to see Santa at the mall here in Spartanburg. For the last two years Anderson has been too scared to sit on Santa’s lap, but we decided to give it a try again this year. To our suprise, they both did great and we got a great photo of them both with Santa. Anderson told Santa he wants a gold fish and Ellis…well, he didn’t say much. What a wonderful time of year to be together as a family. I am so very blessed! During the hecticness of the holiday season – times like these are amazing!
