Now that we’re in Spartanburg and serving at Morningside, we decided to put Anderson in preschool. He’s been there for about a month and he seems to be enjoying it. He has made some new friends and loves his teachers (Mrs. Cindy and Mrs. Charlene). The other day they took school pictures and these were a couple of the best. Preschool is a great way for him to learn and especially learn to interact well with other kids. It’s also a great way to give mom a break for a few hours a day. Morningside does a great job with their preschool and we’re greatful that he can go! I better go – I actually have to pick him up from school in 15min…I’ll blog again soon.
This past Saturday we took Ellis to his first Carolina game (big brother stayed with Nana Rose). Ellis had a great time – but sure did want to get on the offensive line to help the team put up a better game against Georgia. We lost of course, but at least the tailgating food that Granna and Pop brought rocked! I can’t eat for a day after that good cookin’! Well…maybe next week Ellis can see a win against Wofford. Go Cocks!
Football season is in full swing and we have a bunch of teenagers attending schools throughout the county, but my family and I got the opportunity to see the Spartanburg vs. Northwestern game on Friday night. SHS did great and not just in the field. The band, the cheerleaders and everyone was awesome. Patrick, Carter, Crosby and Evander were great on the field / Janna and Kaylie were great cheering / and Cathy and Rebekah did a wonderful job in the marching band. I was very proud of all of you. I hope that you are “letting your light shine before men” through your influence at school, on the field, in the band room or in the gym practicing routines. Go Viking and go students your hard work has paid off!
