“I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth – everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” Lead out those who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf. All the nations together and the peoples assemble.” – Isaiah 43:6-9. As we are on the downward slope of the Honduras trip, this verse really spoke to me in the circumstance my team and I are in now.
27…
27 people were added in the book of life today. 27 people asked Jesus into their hearts, right here at our clinic in Limon. He says to bring his sons and daughters from far away places back to Him. Sons and daughters were brought to the precious Lord today. He declares for us to lead out those who have eyes but, are blind. Those who gave ears but are deaf. A lot of the people we’ve seen here in Honduras have ears and they have eyes but, they are still deaf and blind to the goodness of the Gospel. With God we have had the power tune their ears to hear and their eyes to see.
All the nations together and people assemble. Last night, here in Limon we sang “How great is our God.” Some of us singing in Spanish. Some of us singing in English. Some of us singing in Guriffina. ALL singing the same words. To the same God. Worshiping the ONLY king.
This week the devil has tempted and he has tried to hold our team back but, the Lord declares, “Give them up! Do not hold them back!”
The Lord is a strong and mighty tower. He sent us to rescue many here in Honduras. But, he’s not just calling me or the other 42 team members. He’s declaring this to all of His people. He is in the business of rescuing. He invites us all to join him…to lead. to witness. In Honduras, at the park, or in the car.
For everyone has been formed and made by The Potter’s hands. Stop at nothing to bring others to the Father.

Anita…
Today has been been an exceptional day. After our Bible stories, we had a few minutes to visit the church that our men worked so hard to build. As I sat and listened to the Women’s Bible study team, I was filled with gratitude that this pleasant building that Ebenezer helped to build is providing shelter and a place of worship and God allowed us to partner in the process. After lunch I helped with face painting. No artistic talent in my genes, but those precious children didn’t care if it vaguely resembled a flower or a rainbow, they were so happy. Some of them wanted cat faces drawn on their faces and you would’t believe the line of customers I had. I had a good time trying to communicate colors and figures. I’m especially thankful for willing translators. I am so thankful God has provided strength and health for me and I could serve with an awesome team.

Today has been a great day. When we got out the soccer balls, the kids were so excited to play with us. I loved getting to play with and love on the kids. The service tonight was amazing. It was great getting to worship the Lord together with the people at the church in Limon. I got the chance to share my testimony during the service. At first, I was a little nervous to get up and talk in front of everyone, but once I got up and began talking, I was relaxed. I loved getting to share all that God has done in my life with everyone that was there. I have had an amazing time and I am so glad I got the chance to come on this trip with such an amazing group of people.
* The Tuareg Cross was passed this morning from Gloria to “The Whole Team” and she asked Derinda to wear it today in honor of the way Gloria has seen Christ in the team members.

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8
What a “coincience” that this verse is in the reading today! We have been in Honduras for 7 days, and today Chrissy and I had the chance to give out God’s Word to people who did, and didn’t have one. As I read this I am already dreading leaving the orphanage tomorrow, but one thing that our whole team has to remind themselves about this trip is this exact verse. We can’t stay here forever, but the impact we leave on any person through healing, giving Bibles, giving attention to the children. That will be passed down for generations, and as this verse says “the word of our God will stand forever”!
