Today’s our last day at Fuge and another day in the Psalms during this read through the Bible. Today as I reflect on our week at Mission Fuge Charleston I think about the two students who came to know Christ as a result of the witness of our students this week. The Psalm that sticks out to me in this section of reading is the beginning of Psalm 40.
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, our of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. — Psalm 40:1-3
How awesome it is to get the privilege of seeing the Lord transform the hearts of people as they become new believers. It’s also great to see our students who are already believers take another step in their faith development with the Lord. We truly were in a slimy pit without the Lord…praise be to the Lord for the freedom we have in Christ. May we never forget…may we never stop sharing that Good News.
