Summer 2016
This summer isn’t over yet, but it’s been a great one so far. God has done some amazing things in my life, family and ministry. We’ve seen God do great things at VBX, Student Life, CentriKid, Deliverance and even in our home at Wednesday night Bible Study. It’s been great watching our oldest son begin his journey as a teenager this summer and come to our rising 7th grader classes.
But this summer has also been marked by lots of spiritual warfare. God is on the move in the hearts and minds of His people here in Florence and satan isn’t happy about that. My family and I have felt the attacks and we won’t be freighted by the devil. He has no place here.
It isn’t a coincidence that we planned this weekend’s Deliverance theme months ago on spiritual warfare and called it Revolution. God knew we as a church and as a student ministry needed a reminder that He wins in the end. The battle is the Lord’s.

I am glad that you are safely back home. Ryan told Alba and me about the beach trip at supper tonight. As usual he had a wonderful experience. Thanks for including him in your youth group activities. He loves it! I am looking forward to our beach week! Can’t wait to see you guys!
