Honduras Day 9

Tonight as we sit here eating dinner and listening to island music, we think about our day serving Jesus on the Island of Roatan.  We took the long winding mountain road across the island to Pastor David’s church. Back home, even if our parking lot is partly made of dirt, we still get to drive by cars.  They travel to church by johnboats.  Think about it.

Today we served all afternoon doing a health fair and carnival with about 250 people from the community.  We had a small bounce house, games and face painting for the kids.  The medical team was handing out health info, doing basic screenings and giving health kit supplies.

We finished out the day with a worship service led by our students in a church building that’s roof was donated years ago by Nucor.

Ebenezer & Florence, your hands are all over this country.  Thanks for giving so faithfully.  Tomorrow we have a day of relaxing and fun planned and then we have our closing group meeting before boarding the planes for home on Saturday morning.  It’s been an amazing 10 days!
